Back At It!
2 miles done last night. I really felt as though we were running super slow, but after we were done, we looked at the timer and we did our two miles in 16mins 30secs.. Not too shabby for not having run in almost 2 weeks (YIKES!).... Now, just have to stick with it! I love that my husband runs with me, I think I'd make it out a lot less often if I didn't have him with me.. I'm a lucky lady...

Need Some Motivation to Run!! HELP!
So, I've been getting my feet wet so to speak over the past few weeks.. Trying out bike riding and swimming in open water. I've always been a swimmer, but not much open water. I have done two 10 mile bike rides in the past week and one of them, involved a 5 mile ride to Lake Serene in Lynnwood, a mile swim across the lake and a 5 mile ride back home. I LOVED every second of it and now I have to get motivated to get my feet back on the pavement. We started a 12 week half marathon training program this week. Monday was CT (swim/bike) Tuesday was supposed to be 2 miles, but I just wasn't in the mood. Today is supposed to be a rest day, so I'm trying to hype myself up for just a quick 2 miler. I can't believe I'm even thinking of not doing it. I'm so not motivated right now and don't know what to do to change it. I think a lot of it has to do with my unhappiness at work. After 9 hours sitting at a desk that I hate, I am exhausted by 5pm, I get the kiddo from daycare, get dinner going and then all I want to do is sit and have some red wine and hang out with the family. I'm going to make myself a promise and hopefully this will kick start my motivation... I PROMISE I will run 2 miles tonight and stick to the rest of this weeks runs no if's, and's, or but's!! I'll let you know how it goes tonight in the morning! Happy running!

Back At It This Week!
So, we went on a four day camping trip in the San Juan Islands with the kids. It was really fun, we were with a new group of friends, about 50 people total and we had a great time. The weather wasn't perfect, a lot of rain, but we made due. We were able to get in a lot of swimming time and even some cliff jumping (which was my favorite!). The kids hiked and Jason golfed and we had great food and good drinks.. All in all, it was awesome! Although, not the best thing in the world for our training. We tied up our laces and headed out last night for a quick 3 miler. I wasn't sure how I'd feel, but ended up feeling great and was glad we got back out there. My birthday is tomorrow and my lovely lady friends are taking me out to dinner tonight, so there will be no running tonight for me, but I really want to get at least another 3 in tomorrow! I'll keep you posted.. Hope everyone is enjoying the sunshine that finally decided to return to the great NW!

Short Quick Run Last Night - New Friends Too!
So I use dailymile.com to keep track of my miles and I LOVE that site. The people are amazing and so supportive. It has an awesome forum and I was able to post my blog and now have 3 followers!! One of them is my mom, so I guess really only 2, but that's 2 more than I had two days ago. I was beginning to feel like I only post for myself! So, I was supposed to log 4 miles, but did 2.5 on my own and was going to meet up with a friend for another two, but we had a mis communication and it didn't work out. It was fine, it was warm out and I was tired and had to make dinner, get the baby bathed and wanted to do a little relaxing. I'm glad I got out there at all. Today should be a rest day, so maybe I'll do another quick 2 and make up for the missed miles from yesterday. We are getting ready for a big 4 day camping trip with about 50 people in the San Juan Islands. We leave Friday morning. I'm excited, but a little nervous about how my almost 2 year old is going to do. Wish us all luck!!! Oh and happy Hump Day.. We made it to the half way point. Yay!

10K Go Girl Trail Run!
So, Crazy me, I signed myself up to do a 10k+ trail run in Portland. It was girls only, so I was on my own on this one since my running buddies are my hubby and my dad.. My sister, brother in law and daughter tagged along for moral support and it was so awesome to know they'd be cheering me on at the finish line. This run was a toughy, but I LOVED it.. About 3-4 miles STRAIGHT up a mountain and then about 2.5 straight back down. My hips have been feeling the pain of hitting the ground so hard on the back down part, but it was worth it.. The scenery was awesome, the runners were all great. It was so fun to be a part of!! Jason and I got back out there again for another 3 miles last night. 80 degree weather and my hips screaming at me the entire first mile. They finally settled down and we settled into a good pace. I really love running with my husband!! It's a four day work week for me, then a four day weekend of camping in the sun in the San Jaun Islands with my family and a whole big group of new found friends. Can't wait!

Middle of the Week!
I haven't been feeling the best lately and really struggle to find the energy after work to run. Last night I headed to my parents with the baby after work to visit and go for a run with my dad. I really love running with my dad. We are so similar in how we run and the pace we run at, it's awesome to have him in my life and have him in such good shape!! We did 3.1 miles at just over a 9 min mile and it felt awesome! I could have kept going which is really helping me feel more ready for my 10k trail run coming up this Saturday!! I'm doing it solo and it's my first trail run AND it's in Portland. So, these are all new things to me and with my energy being so low lately, I really didn't feel like I was going to be ready, but last nights run showed me as long as I don't get crazy and try to push myself too hard, I think I'll do fine. I'm prepared to do another 3 tonight at about the same pace, I'll let you know tomorrow how it went and if it happened at all.. I can do it!

Monday Monday....
At least summer has finally found it's way to Seattle. So nice to be able to spend some time out in the sunshine! We had a really good weekend. Went to watch the pro motocross races on Saturday and then Sunday the boys raced so I stayed home with Kenley and we just relaxed in the pool and sunshine all day. I think everyone got a little more sunshine than we had planned on, because by 7pm pretty much everyone was ready for bed!! Got a good 4 mile run in on Saturday and did plenty of walking around Saturday night. All in all a pretty great weekend!

4th Of July 2012!!
Had a fantastic fouth of July this year. We decided to stay home and do the Edmonds thing this year because the fourth was right in the middle of the week. Yuck! We started the morning off doing the 5k fun run, then watched the parade. Maddy and Kenley had a great time watching the parade. It was so fun to see Kenley enjoying all of the music and people and chaos. She's learning so much right now and finally has fun with everything. I love watching life through her eyes! Yesterday was supposed to be an ease 3 mile run, and I had a super busy night, but I got it in and did it in just under a 9min pace, which is a perfect easy pace for me I think. Today will be a rest day and tomorrow will be at least a 5 miler! I'm ready for it... Next Saturday is the 10k trail run which I've never done, but am excited to participate in. Loving the fact that summer finally decided to show up here in the Great Northwest, just wish I could spend more time outside enjoying it and less time sitting here in my office looking at a wall. I guess I should just be thankful I have a job!!! TGIF!

Happy 4th of July!
After a stressful few weeks of family related stress, we were finally able to take a deep breath last night and take the first step in the right direction. We are all blessed with such wonderful friends and family who have kept us all in their thoughts and prayers..
As far as running goes, my wonderful hubby doesn't believe I can run faster than an 8 minute mile, since I've never done it while running with him. So..... we set out last night to run at least 2 miles in under an 8 minute mile based on the fact that I did 2 miles last week without him in 15mins and 30secs.. We took off pretty fast and finished the first mile in 7mins 40secs, which I think set me up for failure. We did finish the first two miles in 15mins 55seconds, but it was still slower than last week and I felt like I was going to die.. Not sure why, I don't know if he gets me all wigged out, or if I felt more exhausted because our plan was to do 3 miles (we did 2.75miles), but whatever the reason was, I ran the first two slower than last week and I almost died. Not a good way to prove I did 2 miles in 15min 30secs, but I'm sure I'll get there soon enough, just have to keep at it. I don't think I'll be able to cross train or run tonight, but we are starting our fourth off tomorrow with a fun 5k in downtown Edmonds followed by the parade! Should be sunny and a great way to start off the holiday fun!

Weekend Relaxation!
I'll admit it, we took it easy this weekend.. I did a few leg workouts last weekend and couldn't walk all weekend. I did do a track workout Saturday that included a 300 meter run and a 1.5 mile run, plus some sit ups and push ups, so at least I got one workout in.. Feeling rested and ready to get back to it today with a nice 3 mile run! Happy Monday.... We get a day off in the middle! Yay!

Movin Things Around A Bit this First Week!
Well, as many of you know, the schedule you put together for yourself looks so pretty and perfect on paper, but trying to get it to go so smoothly in life with kiddos is a whole differerent feat. I was supposed to run 3 miles yesterday, but couldn't because Jason had a late meeting and there was no one home to watch the little one while I ran and she is not a cooperative running partner for longer than a mile, so..... I decided to do a Cross Training day instead. I completed two 10 minute leg workout videos on demand (which my legs DID feel, due to the fact I can hardly walk today), then I was going to try a 40 minute cardio video, but noticed the little one in her high chair starting to nod off. It was only 7pm and if I had let her go to sleep, she would have been up and ready to go at 9pm, so I stopped my workout, got her up and into the bath tub and by the time we were done, daddy was home and it was play time and then book time and then bed time. All I can say is I gave it a good effort and at least I got 20 minutes in!!! I was going to do the 3 miles this morning, but couldn't get myself out of bed in time. Mornings are not the best for me to workout due to the fact that when the alarm goes off, sleeping sounds so much more fabulous than getting up to workout. We have a very busy evening, so I guess I can chalk it up to I'm doing the best I can with what I have to work with! I did do an extra 2 miles Wednesday that weren't on the schedule, so really I'm only down 1 mile which I can make up this weekend and extend one of my weekend runs this weekend by 1 mile. Such is the life of a MOM trying to train for something, it's so worth it though, just look at that little bug I have the blessing of holding in the above picture!! My whole body is sore though due to the extra push ups I've added in this week, the river run which was new to me and the leg workout last night. My body is saying HELLO muscles and I feel really good!! TGIF everyone!

Felt Good Yesterday!
Yesterday wasn't a running day, but I was feeling the need to get my shoes on and go for a run. I decided I'd only do two miles because it wasn't an actualy running day. I set out at a good pace and sped up too get a few sprints up and maybe increase my overall average speed. I don't know what it was yesterday, but I felt GOOD and FAST. I kept going at my sprint speed and slowed down a little at times. I knew I was only doing two miles so I was able to really keep pusing and I ended up running the two miles in 15mins and 30 seconds.. That is a 7min 45second mile pace... My fastest EVER by far. I was pretty excited when I looked down at my watch!! After I got home, my fabulous friend Julie was over, so we chatted, cooked some yummy healthy dinner, had some wine and watched some Sex And The City.. Lisa showed up about 8:30 and we talked until bedtime at 10pm... All in all a great day started with the river workout and ending with a great run. I hope I feel the same motiviation tonight for our scheduled 3 miles!!!

Marathon Training Has Begun!
Jason and I have decided to run the Seattle Marathon on November 25, 2012. We started a 22 week training program on Tuesday with a 3 mile run in 25mins. Today was a CT (cross training) day so I got up at 5am and went to the pool with my friend Amy to do an hour workout running against the current in the pools river. It was a really good workout and a nice way to start the day. You can put water weights on your feet to make the workout harder so I think I actually burned a few caloreis. I definately have more energy right now than I usually do at 8:25!! Another run tomorrow, CT Friday and Runs Sat/Sun... I'm really motivated and excited. I hope I can keep the motivation up! The sun is shining today!!!

Good Weekend!
The past weekend was filled with some much needed family and Jason and me time. We got a ton done around the house, played with the kids and had some time to enjoy each other. I was so done with the week by 5pm on Friday night, I immediately went home, put on my pj's and poured myself a big glass of red wine. I then decided the only thing that could go along with my fabulous evenin was an episode of Dawsons Creek, so of course I sat and watched that! Jason went to play soccer Sunday morning, so after he got home, I took the babe and went to the kiddie section of the pool which she loved. I had Jason pick her up and bring the big kids for open swim, so I swam some laps and got a workout in while they played! It was a fabulous weekend, but even though it was somewhat layed back for us, today is feeling much less hectic than the weekend did.
Tonight Jason and I officially start our Marathon training! We are going to run the Seattle Marathon in November and start our 22 week training program tonight. I"m super excited and nervous and hope I have the heart and mind to train and do this like I need to do it! Here goes nothing!

LADIES NIGHT!
Had a great girls night last night!!! Went for a run with Christine right after work, then we picked Kenley up from daycare and grabbed subway for dinner before heading to Meadowdale playfields to watch Jackie's softball game. Kenley had a great time and found a puppy who she quickly made friends with. After the game, we headed back to my place to go through Christine's give away clothes from her closet cleaning extravaganza, had some drinks and totally enjoyed watching Emily send Ryan the big dumb good looking jerk home from the bachelorette!! Fun fun night and today is FRIDAY!! Have a great weekend everyone!

Finally Hit the Pavement!
Well, this has been a funky week for me in more ways than one. I just haven't mentally or physically felt like myself. Spent two days not feeling right because of a migraine and just haven't felt right since. Did NOT want to go run yesterday, but got a little motivation from my hubby and set out to do 2 slow miles.. I could have done 3-4 after we got going, but Jason's calves and ankles were really hurting him, so we did just over 2.5 miles at about an 8min 30second pace. Not bad for not really feeling into it and starting out nice, steady and slow. I am looking forward to my run tonight with my lovely friend Christine, followed by a quick stop to watch Jackie play softball, then back to my house for some wine and Bachelorette since the guys will be off dirt bike riding!!! Here's to a fun day and tomorrow being Friday!!!

Back At It - Gotta Keep On Movin!
I'm a super slacker and that's all there is too it... I didn't run Friday, didn't run Saturday and yep, you guessed it, didn't run Sunday... I had high hopes of running yesterday (Monday) but ended up with a darn migraine and didn't get myself up off the recliner for pretty much the entire day. So, needless to say, today will be a running day for sure, not 100% yet after the migraine, so we'll see how I feel after an easy two miler, but two miles is better than none and a good way to get back into it after 4 days off. I have to start getting serious, I have a 10k trail run in less than a month which I'm actually pretty darn excited about. I always love to try something new and different! Now, if only the weather would cooperate with my high hopes of getting back into it, the sun would sure help the motivation factor!! I'll let you all know how my run tonight goes in the morning!

Good Run Yesterday!
- So, I really wasn't in the mood yesterday, but my lovely friend Shana told me I'd feel so much better if I just run, so I did. At first I thought I'd do a slow 2 miler, but I got out there and felt good, so I did a pretty quick 3 miler. 3.07 miles in 25.45 to be exact! Not my fastest, but not bad at all for not pusing myself too hard and just listening to what my body felt was a good pace.
After that I went to pick up doods from daycare, we stopped at the grocery store on the way home, then we had a little dinner and watched finally finished a great episode of the bachelorette before the guys got home from dirt bike racing! It was a peaceful quiet night and I loved it!! TGIF everyone!! Have a great Friday and an even better weekend!
Happy Fathers Day to all the Dads!

BLUCK!
I'll be honest with you all, I've been in a funk. Getting myself motivated after a full day at work to do anything other than snuggle with my baby on the couch is taking much more effort than I think it should. I don't really know what's going on with me, but whatever it is, I hope I snap out of it sooner rather than later. As I type this now, I'm telling myself I have all of my running gear here at work and no reason to not go run before I pick up the babe from daycare, but if only I could find the energy and motivation to go out to the car, get my running gear and then put it on and run! I won't tell a lie, I failed Juneathon last night by not doing anything at all. I did make dinner, did some laundry, cleaned up the dinner dishes and kitchen and chased my baby around all night, so I must have gotten some exercise in there somewhere, but not enough to log anywhere, so I've failed Juneathon, but I can't let that get me down... I can run tonight, I will run tonight, I will feel better after, I will get out of this funk!! The boys are off to go race motorcross tonight and I have plenty of time to get my run in before I go pick Kenley up... So I'm going to do it! Even if it's only 2 miles, I will get my run in!!! (I'll let you all know how it went tomorrow!) Hope everyone is having a great day.. I'm having an AWESOME day....... I am a lucky person!

Sore Mama!
So, my workout that we've added on top of the running is waking up some muscles I haven't used in quite some time. Jason and I did a quick 3 miles last night followed with one round of the sexy leg workout. We aren't quite ready yet to do 2 sets of it and from the way my body feels today, I think it was a good call to stop when we did!! I think tonight may be a pool night followed by some time in the hot tub, that actually sounds fabulous!! I love swimming laps, one of the best feelings in the world and it's an awesome recovery type of work out! I have been attempting to eat pretty healthy and went home at lunch to get dinner going in the crock pot and it was so yummy, all of the kids even liked it so I thought I'd share the receipe.
Turkey Chili:
1.25lb lean ground turkey
1 onion
2 garlic cloves
1 green pepper
1 red pepper
1(28oz) can crushed tomato
1(8oz) can tomoato paste
1(15oz) can black beans
1 packet of chili seasoning
Brown the first three ingredients until the turkey has no pink left, then add the first three ingredients and all other ingredients into the crockpot and mix together. Cook on low approx 5-6 hours. (The recipe I read said high 4-5hrs or low 7-8hrs, but I did low about 5.5hrs and it was perfect.) Top it off with lowfat sourcream, some shredded cheese and tortilla chips if you'd like..
Yum!! I'd never had chili with peppers in it and so little beans, but I actually really enjoyed it that way. It's a recipe we'll be eating at the Baker household again soon!
Yesterday was a stressful workday, so here's to having a stress free workday and hoping I can make it out of the house for some laps tonight!! Happy Wednesday everyone!
P.S. - Blue is the color today in honor of the horrible weather we keep having here in Seattle. Where is the Sun???

Greenlake Run/Workout!
Had a GREAT evening with an awesome friend!! Christine and I met up and ran half way around the inner loop of Greenlake. We then stopped to do our new workout routine which was really fun, then ran the last half of the lake. We treated ourselves to veggie burgers and wine aftewards. We worked hard!! So I did steal this new workout routine from another blogger who says she's seeing quick results from adding this into running and then swimming a few days a week. I think my body is at a point where it's pretty used to running and I'm ready to change it up and throw some other things in there! So here's the workout routine:
20 squats
20 forward lunges
20 burpees
20 inner thigh leg lifts
20 jumping jacks
60 second wall sit
70 sit ups
15 push ups (girlie ones are ok!)
Repeat the above 2 times.
We did this only one time due to the fact that it was our first time trying it out and we coupled it with an almost 3 mile run! Our goal is to do this for the next 30 days (4th of July we get the day off) and then whomever sticks to the plan best gets to buy the other dinner!! I'm not going to buy anyone dinner, so I'm motivated to do this! All in all, it was a GREAT night which ended on the deck of this very fun restaurant!

Weekend Update!
I think I have a serious case of the Monday Blues today. I had such a great weekend, I didn't want it to end. I didn't realize I don't know my log in info for the blog because it automatically comes up on my work computer, so I didn't get to post daily over the weekend like I was supposed too, so this post will cover the entire weekend. I also failed my Juneathon challenge and didn't do any running or walking at all yesterday other than a long walk through the new Whole Foods with my mom. I think it had to have been a mile or two all said and done, but I'm not going to count it...
Friday - Friday night would have been a day off, so I set out to do just a mile. Tyler was home and I figured he could handle a mile, so he put on his Vans (we have since purchased some running shoes for him), we packed up Kenley in the stroller and we set out for a quick mile. We ran it in 8mins 50seconds which I personally think is pretty darn good for a 15 year old kiddo who never runs. I think I'll take him on my mile runs a few more times and in no time he'll be ready for a 3 miler! Yay for new running buddies, especially when they are your kiddos!
Saturday - Really was unmotivated to be productive this weekend and Saturday was a busy day for me. Got up early to go get a hair cut, came home and left again to go meet my fabulous friend Shana and her super sweet daughter Maranda for lunch at Macaroni Grill and then browsed through Hobby Lobby. After I got home I felt like we needed to do something active, so we packed up the babe in her stroller and hooked up the kiddy trailer to the bike and off we went for a 1.6 mile walk to the grocery store, did our shopping, packed the kid back up and the groceries and walked home. Saturday night Jason and I had the house to ourselves (with the acception of our adorable 21 month old) so we bbq'd up some steak and veggie skewers and just relaxed on the couch with a good bottle of wine.. That's my kind of Saturday!
Sunday - Jason got up and went to play soccer, and all the big kiddos were gone, so it was just doods and I and she can't sit in the stroller longer than a mile run, so I opted to stay in my PJ's and catch up on my reality TV instead of being active - BAD ME! I can't tell a lie though, it was pretty nice! Jason came home and we did get up and shower and get dressed, but by that time it was nap time for the little one, so I went to have lunch with my parents and after lunch, mom and I decided to check out Whole Foods. I LOVE that store, they have such fun ideas! After my outing I should have done something productive, but the sun was out so instead I drug all of Kenleys toys out to the deck, grabbed a few magazines and a cold beer and relaxed and played in the sun for a few hours.. It was AWESOME! We ended the night with a great dinner that included more steak, bacon wrapped hot dogs and clams wiht melted butter!! Fun dinner on the deck!
I know I really slacked this weekend and after running every day last week, I hope I didn't ruin my stamina, but I'm super excited for my date tonight with Christine, Green Lake and dinner, can't wait and am more than ready to get out again for a good long run!! Happy Monday Everyone!

I know I really slacked this weekend and after running every day last week, I hope I didn't ruin my stamina, but I'm super excited for my date tonight with Christine, Green Lake and dinner, can't wait and am more than ready to get out again for a good long run!! Happy Monday Everyone!

National Running Day
Had a good day at work yesterday and Jason had a late meeting so I decided to get out for a short easy run in honor of National Running Day. It's funny how when you tell yourself you aren't going to push to go fast and you are just out for a nice easy run, you actually get a pretty darn good time. I have a 3 mile loop around my house I've been running quite often and the first two miles are easy and flat, but the last mile is almost ALL uphill, so it gets a little hard at the end. Anyways, yesterday I was only going to do two at a really easy pace, but got out there and felt great, so finished up with my hilly thrid mile and actually had a pretty darn good time, just over 25 mins.. Same time I got the two days prior, however I was really pushing those days.. Another day down, lets see what I decided to do in the wind and rain tonight - have to get out there, but may be a one miler kind of day! Happy Thursday! Today's blog is pink in honor of Kenner's, she was pretty in pink this morning and looked so darn cute!

Juneathon 2012
So, I just joined a group called Juneathon 2012 and in order to be a part of this group, you have to do the following: Run EVERY Day, Blog Every Day, Log Every Day. So, there have been a few days in June (I'm a little late as today is the 6th) that I didn't run, but that will change starting today! Today is National Running Day, so what better day to start right? So, here I am blogging and I'm going to blog about what I've done over the past week or two since I haven't blogged in a while.
Inspiring Hope Run 10k - Jason and I kicked bootie at this and did it in 51 mins which was like an 8 min 20 second pace. My fastest 10k by far, so we were pretty proud of that! It was a really small local run and we had a great time.
Surivior Mud Run - This was AWESOME! It was 3.5 miles with 22 obstacles throughout, Jason and I did it together and we did it in 38 mins. We placed 280 and 281 out of 4200 people, so I was pretty proud of that as well! Heres a pic of us at the finish line.. What an awesome experience.
Jason and I did our 3 mile loop around the house with the last mile uphill on Monday night in 25:10 and Jackie and I did the same run last night in 25:05. Keeping the pace and getting better each day! Tonight will be an easy 2, as I wasn't planning to even run at all unitl I realized its National Running Day and then I joined Juneathon 2012. What a fun thing to do!!
Happy Running Everyone and Happy National Running Day!!

I've been a slacker over the past few months as far as blogging goes, but I've actually stepped my running game up quite a bit. My dad and I ran Bloomsday last week which is a 12k (7.46miles) We did amazing - especially my dad who just turned 60! We ran the race in 1 hour and 8 mins, which is exactly 10 mins faster than we ran it last year. That's quite a difference and a new PR for me! We had great weather, a great crowd and a great run!! I love bloomsday, I never know which family member is going to yell out my name along the path, but its great getting to see familiar faces and being cheered on throughout the course! We also decided to sit with some family after we were done and cheer folks on including my awesome cousin michelle who ran the race after just getting back to it after an injury. She did awesome too!! Jason and I have a 10k to run here in Mukilteo tomorrow morning then a mud run on June 2nd which I'm super excited about.. I need go keep signing up for runs so I can be motivated to get out there during the week after my work days, when most days I want to sit and do absolutely nothing after work!! Looking forward to a sunny fun filled mothers day weekend! Happy mothers day to all the moms out there! Happy running!

I slacked all week! I'm so bad.. We did get up at 5am this morning though and went to the gym. I did about 3 miles all together and burned just over 300 calories, then did some weights and sit ups, so it felt great to get that done and out of the way first thing! I'm looking forward to the night with the girls, we are going to see the Vow at the cinebarre.. What could be better than girlfriends, a sappy movie and wine?!? I have no idea what could be better than that. Then tomorrow morning I'm off to the salon for a brand new hair do! I'll post a pic if I like it! TGIF!

Well, I had a nice long weekend, but didn't do one lick of working out or running. I think I played too hard and didn't leave enough time or energy for it, but that needs to change!! I did great last week, so I think I can get myself right back on track. We were supposed to run 4 miles last night and didn't, so we'll have to do those 4 tonight and get back on track starting tomorrow. Where is my motivation? I don't know why it's been so hard trying to get into the groove again. Once I'm there it feels great!!! I'll let you know how the 4 miles tonight goes tomorrow morning!! Happy Tuesday!

3.5 miles Great time!
3.5 miles in 32mins 52secs last night with Jason. We really pushed it the last mile so we could get our time up and hopefully help increase our overall average time. I was freezing all day and all I really wanted to do was go home, build a fire and put my sweats on, but Jason talked me into running. He's a good motivator!! We tried a new run, mostly because it's dark out by the time we get home and get to run, so half of the run was along Hwy 99. I actually like it, the sidewalk is bigger and it's much lighter and there is more to look at, but Jason doesn't really like running on Hwy 99, so we'll have to keep mixing it up and finding new routes. The light is starting to be out longer each day, so soon we won't be running in the dark! Looking forward to a fun filled weekend. 3 miles tomorrow and water aerobics hopefully on Sunday, sounds like the pool will be closed for a week, not sure if that starts Sunday or Monday. We also have dinner plans with friends tomorrow and a concert to go to with friends Sunday and Monday is a holiday! Wahoo.. TGIF everyone!

Run Last night...
Had 3 miles on the training schedule to do last night, and was set on 3 miles and that was it, but with the route we took, we had an extra half mile that I was dead set on walking. Jason told me to just slow it down a little and finish out the run, so we did 3.5. It actually felt good and I'm glad he was there to push me the extra distance. I'm still dealing with a sore knee after about the two mile mark each time I run, but it's also getting a little less painful each time I run, so I think just taking it slow easy and following our training plan will really help condition my knee too!! We have another 3.5 to run tonight, we will probably just do the same route! Still trying to figure out my new Garmin. I think I need a book called Garmin for dummies. It's like a freaking computer on my arm! Valentines Day was good for the family, the kiddos all had goodies out on the table in the morning to wake up too and Kenley wore her new outfit with a heart on her butt!! We had heart shaped pizza and cookies for dinner.. All in all, a good day!

New to Blogging. I am the mother of four amazing kiddos and am married to an amazing man. I love my friends and family and have a great career. My only downfall is I don't give myself enough time to do the things I love to do just for me. One of those things is Running! Last year I ran my first two half marathons and did awesome and truly fell in love with running. However over the last year since those races, I have let myself get out of shape and let myself think that doing things for just me are not of great importance. I was wrong and am ready to start doing something for myself again. I am running the Bloomsday 12k in May in Spokane, Washington and put together a 12 week training plan that starts with 3 miles today. I have kept running off and on and know I am easily able to run 3 miles at a 10 min pace. So..... With that said, let the good times roll!!!
